Wow, what a hectic week this has been! With the Manhattan Credit Card on our hands to launch, the Palm Marine Project at the Dubai International Boat Show coming to a start and the upcoming Etisalat Seminar, we have had our hands full! But less about these other projects, I’m writing to use our bragging rights on the Manhattan Launch we held at the tres chic Apartment Lounge + Club at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. What an evening it was! Our creative team had worked overtime to get all the branding elements in place – from flags, light boxes, framed skylines to swirling gobos.



Our gorgeous showgirls really stole the show with their saucy outfits and high kicks to Sinatra’s New York New York, a fitting finale to a great press conference. We had about three days to create a launch animation which was thunderous with its slick editing and fabulous lightening effects against the backdrop of a stormy Manhattan sky. Multiple 3D plasma screens displayed the credit card at the end, floating amidst the audience.



Later that evening about 150 beautiful people gathered at the club enjoying the soon to be legendary Manhattan hospitality entertained by vocal house diva, Barbara Tucker who had flown in all the way from New York to perform for the launch. DJ Kennedy also performed accompanied by Hush on the bongos. Highlight of my evening? A bottle of champagne after an event well done :) Here’s to teamwork guys!

We have the pleasure to welcome on board a new COO, Florence Calvet. Flo, as she likes to be called, was the Director of Business Development for an event management company in Hong Kong. We have met her during an event she was running couple of weeks ago here in Dubai and as it has been a "coup de foudre", she started with us yesterday...

Flo brings experience and fresh air to the company and we are confident that she will be the one helping us to bring this Company to the top!

Yes we are ambitious ... and we are not ashamed of that ;-)

As you can see, here is our first Post and honestly our first Blog! Thanks Flo to have shown us this amazing new media. But let's 'listen' to Flo telling us why she has decided to join us.

"I joined Artaaj because I immediatly clicked with Biju the CEO and the team. I am definitely a challenge person and when Biju told me he wanted me to bring the company at the top in couple of months, I had the feeling that it was for me... but don't misunderstand ;-) that's not pretentious. It's just that he trusts me and I trust him and this company has everything to succeed specially an amazing multicultural team...

And you know? What a great opportunity to start a new level in my career managing an international team of 16 people focused on the business I have been doing for the last 16 years.

But between you and me... and people who know me will agree... I am happy to be back in the desert...

Why a blog? You really ask me why a blog? Because I am personally a blog addict for many years and as a friend of Philippe Pinault, the genious creator of Blogspirit, I believe in blogs as the new media ;-)

We will give you here some news about our events and our people but I won't be the only one writing here..
