Artaaj organizes nomination drive for the Abu Dhabi Awards 2007

Artaaj organizes nomination drive for the Abu Dhabi Awards 2007

The Abu Dhabi Awards are a chance for the residents and citizens of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to recognize and honor people they know who have made a special contribution to building a greater sense of community and social welfare in Abu Dhabi. This is the second year that Artaaj had been commissioned to organize the nomination drive.

The drive included installing and managing over 100 centers across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Centres included Adnoc stations, schools, offices and ministry buildings. For the first time centers were managed in the Western region of Abu Dhabi as well.

Kiosks were managed at all major malls in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Promoters and volunteers from TAKATOF met with consumers at the malls and invited them to nominate suitable people.

A caravan of life size replicas of the award were set up on Abu Dhabi corniche starting at the mid of the corniche and ending up at Marina Mall.

Artaaj procured the permissions from the relevant venues and government authorities, handled the entire logistics of placing forms and collecting the same from across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Western Region as well supervised and managed the consultants at the mall kiosks.

Artaaj helped transform the Emirates Palace ballroom into picture-perfect Hollywood for the MEIFF VIP Charity Gala Dinner.

Commissioned by a celebrity event producer from Los Angeles, we brought to life the vision of Hollywood Regency, as the theme for the evening. The decor was carefully selected for the evening, considering the underlays, overlays, chairs, centerpieces and flatware. We had 200 gold chiavari chairs, opulent, embroidered golden overlays and magnificent rose and crystal centrepieces.

Classic B&W movies were projected around the room in 4 viewing areas with large screen projection and comfortable seating, and a classic jazz-swing band, the Blue Light Collective, kept the golden oldies flowing throughout the evening.

Considering that we received our brief less than a week prior to the event, with the Eid holidays in between, three cheers for the production team who pulled off the event to perfection. Here’s what our client said:

“Hello Artaaj Family- [we] would like to thank everyone for working with us to accomplish the Charity Dinner Event for the Middle Eastern International Film Festival. We were very impressed with the level of execution and integrity that your team exemplified. You all are very talented and a pleasure to work with. We truly could not have pulled it off without your assistance. We look forward to bringing more clients your way and collaborating again in the near future. Once again it was great meeting all of you and thank you for being exceptional.”

First Aid Training Seminar

Members of our operations team recently attended a certified First Aid training seminar, ensuring that they are able to handle any emergencies on site with guests at events or even during set up when we build sets and install equipment for live events. We now have 3 first aid officers with the agency, with more sessions being planned for the near future.

In an effort to improve our HSE practices, we have also implemented a new Health & Safety manual dealing with issues at the work place as well as on site at events, covering issues such as HSE at the venue, suppliers policies and temporary staff briefings.
