Artaaj Events

For the 2nd year running, Artaaj Events was chosen to manage the anniversary celebrations for the Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority. An evening of fun festivities ensued with surprise appearances by local celebs, games, fabulous entertainment, as well as an award ceremony.

Dr Mohammad Al Zarouni, Director General, DAFZA and the Managing Director of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise presided as the chief guest. Held at Dubai’s latest 5 star property, The luxurious Monarch hotel, the guests were greeted by violin music floating in the air and hostesses dressed in gold. The ballroom was bathed in hues of green and the stretched-fabric stage provided a stunning backdrop for our creative lighting designer.

The evening began with the awards ceremony, celebrating amongst others - 5 years of service & distinguished employees. ‘’Guess who and whose’’ was the first game of the evening – as guests had to guess who their colleagues were – not so easy as their photos had been put through an “aging simulator” (read as Razi, our long suffering visualizer, sitting late into the night modifying everyone’s photos to look many years older)!

The treasure hunt game was great fun – with everyone getting up and running around trying to find the 5 objects in the quickest time. The guests really were good sports, during the charade game – they were up on stage getting into the spirit and dancing like rapstars and singing in the shower! Later, an illusionist entertained the crowd and DAFZA had some wonderful gifts and prizes for their staff kindly supplied by their sponsors.

All our hard work paid off when we had some great feedback from the client the following day: “On behalf of DAFZA I would like to thank you and the whole team of ARTAAJ for the great effort you put in DAFZA annual party to make it a successful event. We really appreciate your time and support. We are looking forward to do it all over again in 2008.”

Thanks for that, Asma, it was great to work with you and Yasmin and Muna, we too had a great time organizing the event and we are definitely looking forward to next year’s bash!

Artaaj was recently appointed to provide models for the Volvo stand at the Dubai Motor Show 2007. Apart from sourcing and coordinating the models, we custom designed and produced the uniforms to complete the look, while intensive training ensured that the models did a fantastic job of representing the various high-class vehicles Volvo had on display.

We had the pleasure recently for managing a short program for Tiffany Sweets for IFFCO/IFFCAP at the Sweets Middle East exhibition. We provided 8 hostesses for the Tiffany exhibition stand, dressed in adorable red costumes which we designed and produced as well. The exhibition was followed by a Gala Dinner held at the grand Madinat Jumeirah Resort.

Artaaj recently managed a series of trendsetting events for the construction industry. Our client, Grace Constructions, is a worldwide leader in innovative specialty construction chemicals and materials, solving many of the world's most challenging building problems with their premium construction chemicals and building materials. A first for the region and the industry, the seminars offered construction professionals an insight into revolutionary waterproofing technologies, also consolidating Grace’s position as market leader. We were entrusted with the all important task of managing the invitation process from database refinement to online invitations, registration and RSVP mechanisms. We also assisted the client on site with the event and with managing the attendees.

The new premises of the vocational academy at Dubai Industrial City was witness to an elegant daytime launch event on the 20th of November, 2007. With the site located far out from Dubai city, Artaaj coordinated the logistics for launch.

We set the tone with beautiful décor setup consisting of dining, seating and floral decorations themed accordingly. Guests were treated to a tour of the facilities with classroom and equipment demonstrations after which a gala buffet lunch was served.

The morning began with a valet service for the guests who were then welcomed and registered by elegant hostesses. Refreshments and snacks were served in the lobby of the premises. Prior to the event, Artaaj conducted the invitee database management, delivered the invitations and confirmed the attendees for the event. On the day of the event courteous on-site support was maintained for the smooth running of the launch as leaders of the DIC addressed close to 200 guests. The following day, the premises played host to a press conference; once again Artaaj organised the décor, tour of the facilities and buffet lunch.
