CIRRUS
CIRRUS Developments recently choose Artaaj Events to launch their second major development, Aquarius Gate.Comprising of residential and commercial property, the property is a ‘first’ in many ways, including the launch event itself.
From the moment investors and guests arrived, they were welcomed through a channel of over 20 elegant models to guide them to the pre function area where they were entertained by a classical string quartet. After that it was then on to the the high tech event area through a fog screen and onto the main feature of the evening: the 3D hologram.
Artaaj created this unique 3D hologram to showcase the property with their computer generated sales manager explaining the development. Hugely publicized, the technology was a crowd puller and ensured an overwhelming response to the development. Other event technologies included elaborate moving heads and water screens used to great effect to create a differentiator for the development.
A truly successful launch and partnership between CIRRUS Developments and Artaaj, one which both parties are looking to repeat and expand on.

MEQA Congress
The e-TQM College assigned Artaaj in February to collaborate with them on their 2nd International Congress on Quality which took place from the 6th – 9th April at the Cultural & Scientific Association in Dubai. The main purpose of the Congress was to empower and disseminate quality concepts in the Middle East.
Artaaj got involved in the beginning with promoting the conference through email campaigns and RSVP management for the two months running up to the conference. During the conference days we managed the registration process for VIP’s, speakers and delegates with ushers and hostesses. Over 550 people visited the workshops on the first day and the main inaugural sessions on the second.
Following the success of our first alliance both parties are already planning the 3rd MEQA congress for 2009.

Bachelor Send Off
It was wedding season at Artaaj last month as we prepared to send off two more bachelors into the realms of matrimony, Nonoy & Raymond being the bachelors du jour. We opted for a scaled down version of a racy bachelor do at the office with a good luck luncheon starring a surprise visitor.
We all gathered together in the Artaaj conference room for a specially catered Thai spread. While everyone was busy sampling the food, our entertainment team at the back-end was sneaking in a belly dancer who burst into the conference room as a surprise. With lots of claps, wolf whistles and not a few red faces, the performance rounded up a great afternoon!

A Day at the Races
Feathers, hats, floaty dresses, high heels, ties and more abound at the social event of the year as the Artaaj team and their guests put their best foot forward at the Dubai World Cup on the 29th of March.
On arrival at the event, the queue to enter the race area was enough to make the toughest of us wilt… but with great determination, we braved the lines! However, from the moment we stepped into the event, the ground was buzzing with excitement and the energy of all the attendees was contagious.
Every color, style, shape and size were on show at this stylish and prestigious event. The women accessorized from their shoes through to the last feather on their head and the men looked suave in their suits and ties.
With all the team in, we settled in at our own tables in the “Boogie Zone” - the drinks were flowing and we all sat back, on the lookout for the winning horses. Neelam even acted as the unofficial bookie, and some of the lucky ones walked away with very heavy wallets indeed!
After the last race, the DJ cranked up the music and the team partied on late into the night, ending a fantastic day out on a high note!

Artaaj organizes Etisalat’s Metamorphosis 2008 Conference
For the third year running, Artaaj Events successfully organized “Metamorphosis” an annual conference presented by the Career Development and Succession Planning Department of Etisalat, UAE’s leading telecommunications provider. Held on March 24th, six hundred Etisalat CXOs, VPs and executives assembled at the conference center of the Grand Hyatt hotel, to learn more about competition analysis and global strategies.
2008’s conference theme was Transcending Beyond Boundaries, exploring the effects of globalization and increasing competition. Artaaj worked with the client from the very beginning in planning and choosing the speakers, finalizing the identity and the various elements of the event. Professor Chan Kim, prolific strategist and widely held as an authority on competition analysis, also the author of Blue Ocean Strategies was chosen as one speaker for the conference. Dr. George Yip, Dean of the Rotterdam School of Management Erasmus University, one of the world's leading authorities on global strategy and marketing, managing global customers, and internationalization, was selected as the second speaker for the event.
The branding and stage designs were then presented along with trophy designs for the three groups of executives graduating from various programs.
The brief was that the designs had to be innovative and progressive. An unique semicircular stage was designed with a canopy of PDPs which added a high tech element to the design. Crisp and clean, white was chosen as the main color for the stage, which also incorporated an interactive screen which was used during the commemoration ceremony.
Finally, we consulted with the client, presenting various options for mid conference entertainment, settling on an international bubble artiste whose performance, both aesthetic and fun, highlighted how we can think out of the box and are limited only by our own creativity. A mentalist was chosen as a second act, demonstrating the powers of the human mind, that can transcend self imposed boundaries.
